I have been creating and experimenting artistically for as long as I can remember. Creating art has always been a grounding element for me, a state of being where I could feel at ease, and fully present in my thoughts. Our lives are often stressful, hurried, and increasingly technology focused, but searching for artistic inspiration in the natural world has helped me to slow down, observe, and not only recognize, but appreciate, the infinite examples of beauty and interest that exist around me. It could be an interesting shadow, an almost too-small-to-notice detail, a striking color combination, or a unique shape or surface texture that calls to me for further exploration. In my artwork, I take myself and the viewer on a break from the technology and barrage of life's noise that consumes us, showcasing what has visually and viscerally intrigued me about each particular subject. I hope my work resonates with you personally, and fosters a new sense of curiosity in your own surroundings as well.
